The Postgraduate Programme in Metaphysics (PPGμ) is the result of work developed by several research groups based in different departments and postgraduate programs of the University of Brasilia. Although the majority of the professors associated the programme work in the area of philosophy, they have a broad range of multidisciplinary training and experience. This program is classed under ‘philosophy’ according to CAPES, but brings together several methodological and disciplinary approaches in order to think about questions and challenges in metaphysics.

The PPGμ offers courses at masters and PhD level and is focused on two lines of thought:

I) Origins of the Western thought;
II) Contemporary ontologies.

The purpose of the PPGμ is to train researchers to enable them to address and discuss metaphysical issues and connected philosophical challenges.
